I own a few different websites and blog, most of them are getting very good traffic and are ranked on the first page of Google. It took me a while to really figure out how to get the search engines to notice me, but once I figured it out it came second nature to just do the different steps and reap the rewards.

The main thing to remeber is backlinks. Google loves backlinks, so try to get your website address out on as many different sites as possible, but, be careful of which site you put your link on, try for the better page ranked sites.
